Annual Camp Monarch

Camps for children who love to create, dance, sing and perform!

July 8 - 19, 2019

(Ages 5-12)

Camp Monarch is an annual two week summer day camp intended for children with a genuine interest in music, art, dance and musical theatre. Students of all abilities are welcome.

This season’s show, The Elephant's Child, is a delightful pourquoi story by the British author Rudyard Kipling, detailing how the elephant got its trunk. This tale will be woven together with electrifying music, storytelling, movement and art from countries all around Africa.

Director, Erin Deighton, has been running music, art and dance camps for the past 17 years. Monarch Arts Education's goal is to motivate children to achieve their true potential in the arts within a positive and encouraging environment. We hope your children can join Camp Monarch from July 8-19, 2019!

Our program is held at Presentation House Theatre, 333 Chesterfield Ave. in North Vancouver, BC. Classes run from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm, with one hour for lunch.

Before and After Camp Care is available (8:00 am to 9:00 am and 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm). After Camp Care is not available on the last day of the summer camp, due to the final performance.

Students are divided into groups according to age and experience.

The second week of the summer camp finishes with a performance for family and friends. The performance runs from 2:30 to 3:30 on the last day, followed by a reception and gallery showcasing the camper's art.

To guarantee individual attention, class sizes will be limited.   Register early!
